Plowing With Camso Tracks: UTV Setup Guide
Last updated: October 2, 2026.
A plow and a set of tracks are the two biggest winter upgrades for a side-by-side, and we sell both: KFI plow kits and Camso UTV 4S1 track systems. Running them together takes a few extra parts, because tracks lift the machine and change where the plow mount sits. Everything below comes from KFI and Camso published specs and manuals.
What Tracks Change
- Ride height: Camso lists about 5 inches more ground clearance than stock tires on the UTV 4S1.
- Speed: Camso's UTV 4S1 manual says the system is designed for a maximum real speed of 40 km/h (about 25 MPH), and that tracks change speedometer and trip meter readings by about 35 percent.
- Drive mode: the manual says to always operate in 4x4 mode.
- Break-in: the first 4 hours or 80 km should be on wet or lubricated ground such as snow, mud or water.
- Weight: Camso lists 103 lbs per front system and 120 lbs per rear system.
KFI Parts for Tracked Machines
| KFI part | What it is | KFI list price |
|---|---|---|
| 106330 | UTV plow tube track extension | $105.95 |
| 106335 | UTV PRO 2.0 track extension actuator brackets (for the ACT203 actuator) | $113.95 |
| 106320 to 106326 | Square push tube leveling kits, 1 inch negative through 6 inch | $39.95 to $102.95 |
On every KFI kit page we sell, answer "Does your machine have tracks?" to add the 106330 track extension in the same order, and "Does your machine have a lift kit?" to add a leveling kit.
KFI's push tube manual says not to exceed 5 MPH, even with the blade raised, and never to stand or ride on the plow.
