AcrEase Pull-Behind Mowers for Kubota RTV
Last updated: August 3, 2026. Prices verified against our live catalog on this date.
The Kubota RTV is one of the best tow vehicles you can put in front of an AcrEase mower: Kunz Engineering names the RTV alongside the John Deere Gator as an ideal match for the line. The diesel RTV-X models pull with low-end torque to spare, the hydrostatic transmission holds a steady 4 to 10 MPH mowing pace, and the payload capacity means the mower tongue weight is a non-issue. Every current AcrEase model, rough cut and finish cut, tows behind an RTV-X900, X1100C, X1120D, RTV-X2, or Sidekick.
Free shipping, no freight surcharge. Every AcrEase mower ships free to the contiguous US from Farm & Trail. UTV-specialty stores selling the same Kunz models add a $299.99 freight surcharge at checkout; on identical SKUs, our delivered price runs $118 to over $500 less. Compare by model number, delivered.

Hitch and Tongue Setup
Every AcrEase rough cut mower ships with a farm clevis hitch that pins to your RTV's existing rear hitch, and switches between direct-behind and fully offset towing in under a minute with no tools. The clevis design gives far more freedom of motion than a ball hitch on slopes and rough ground.
For the finish cut line behind a vehicle without a mowing deck: the H40B uses the Kunz UTV tongue assembly ($119.99), and the Pro60K uses the UTV/ATV tongue assembly ($119.99). For Pro60B and Pro60KWE tongue setup, call 877-203-4939 and we will confirm the right configuration for your machine.
Rough Cut or Finish Cut?
Rough cut (MR44 and MR55 series) is for overgrown fields, pastures, trails, and light brush: 10-gauge decks, twin fixed blades, and a belt drive that slips under severe impact instead of breaking a shear pin. Finish cut (H40B and Pro60 series) is for maintained grass where cut quality matters, effectively adding a second deck to your mowing operation. Kubota RTV Notes
- The RTV's standard rear receiver takes the AcrEase clevis pin directly; no adapter needed for rough cut models.
- Diesel RTV-X models hold mowing speed on grades better than most gas UTVs; the engine slope limits below still apply to the mower's own engine.
- On hilly ground, keep the mower's engine in mind: Kohler and Kawasaki commercial engines are rated for slopes up to 25 degrees, Briggs Intek models should stay under 20 degrees for extended mowing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Kubota RTV pull a 57 inch rough cut mower?
Yes. Kunz lists the Kubota RTV as an ideal tow vehicle for the full AcrEase line, including the 57 inch MR55 series rough cut models. The RTV's low-range diesel torque is well suited to steady 4 to 10 MPH mowing.
Are AcrEase mowers PTO-driven?
No. Every AcrEase carries its own engine; the tow vehicle only pulls it. That is why ATVs, UTVs, and electric side-by-sides all work as tow vehicles.
How fast can I mow?
Between 4 and 10 MPH depending on conditions. Customers consistently report a 50 to 75 percent reduction in mowing time versus a tractor with a rotary mower.
Manual or electric clutch?
Electric clutch models engage the blades with a switch and extend belt life to 200+ hours; the right call for heavy or commercial use. Manual clutch models run $200 to $500 less and are excellent for homeowner duty.
